Synopsis

The new instructor, Takaoka, bends the students to his will through violence and fear, winning over a few like Terasaka to divide Class 3-E. Cornered as they are, the students are saved when Karasuma defeats Takaoka in one-on-one combat, exposes his despicable nature, and drives him out. Koro-sensei, too, proves himself a "real teacher" by patiently turning each student's weakness into a talent. Control through fear and growth through trust are set against each other, deepening 3-E's bonds and their respect for Koro-sensei — a turning point that etches the meaning of education into the reader.
