Synopsis

For her final trial as an exorcist, Shiemi faces the taming of Amaimon, King of Earth. At the same time, the exorcist forces gather to confront the revived demon. Rin is assigned to the elite squad that will take the demon head-on, while Yukio is chosen as captain of the detachment holding the key to sealing it. The twins who once couldn't guard each other's backs now stand on the same battlefield, each carrying their own role. With Amaimon's power, Shiemi succeeds in taming the King of Earth and awakens as a guardian who commands the land itself. The demon's main body crushes the exorcist army with overwhelming mass, but Rin's blue flames working in tandem with Lightning's elite squad slowly open small gaps. Yukio's detachment places the keystones needed to seal the demon across the battlefield. Yet the demon keeps regenerating, and it becomes clear that only a decisive blow from Rin's flames can complete the seal. At a heavy cost, the front line surges toward the next volume's all-out assault.
