Synopsis

With Chinatsu watching from the stands, Taiki fights his way through the singles bracket and reaches the semifinals. Waiting for him is Hariu, the upperclassman whose back he has chased for so long. Taiki has trained relentlessly for a shot at the Inter-High, but so has Hariu, and their clashing resolve fills every rally. The semifinal becomes an all-out battle between Taiki and Hariu. Though Hariu holds the edge in experience, Taiki claws back with the shots and stubborn footwork he sharpened in practice, pushing his idol to the limit. Through the match Taiki takes a real step from admirer to genuine rival. Chinatsu's gaze from the crowd steadies him, and the gap between the two of them narrows a little more.
