Synopsis

Even without power, All Might still pins a superhuman All For One—and Izuku Midoriya refuses to lose to that broad back. He may never match Mirio’s courage or Nejire’s flash, but he stands with his classmates as the final war locks every front into one sky. Volume 40 braids the final war’s many fronts into one breath. Izuku Midoriya burns One For All toward its limit and drives straight at the core of All For One / Tomura Shigaraki. Quirkless All Might still holds AFO down; the fact that the Symbol’s back is still on the line becomes Midoriya’s step itself. Bakugo cuts a path through the chaos despite his wounds; Todoroki, Ochaco, Kaminari, and the rest of U.A. shove their own enemies back. Midoriya cannot copy Mirio’s courage or Nejire’s blaze, yet he chooses the same hero shape—trust himself, fight with his friends. AFO’s schemes spend time and lives; OFA’s embers thin by the second. As long as someone refuses to stay down, the line holds. Volume 40 is the war’s heart: every “get up” lands at once just before the inherited fire gutters out.
