Synopsis

The milestone Volume 10 of the gag manga chronicling the rowdy daily life of junk maid-bot Roboco and grade-schooler Bondo. This time a gloriously meta celebration erupts as the anime adaptation of "Me & Roboco" gets announced within the story itself. Bondo is on cloud nine, Roboco tries to remodel herself into a beauty-body to win over viewers, and Gachigorilla and Motsuo spin their wheels drowning in gratitude and self-imposed responsibility—the whole cast loses their heads in the mayhem. The anime announcement goes to everyone's head: Roboco tries to reinvent herself as a beauty-body for the viewers, but her junk-bot specs sabotage the effort into a total rampage. Gachigorilla and Motsuo, determined to "become people worthy of the anime," let gratitude and responsibility collide into one absurd misfire after another. In the end the honor of getting an anime is burned up entirely as gag fuel, and things snap right back to the usual idiotic daily grind before any sentiment can settle. With arguably its heaviest dose of meta jokes and parodies yet, the volume caps the milestone tenth book in a blaze of full-tilt festivity.
