Synopsis

Case Closed Volume 106 delivers the long-awaited Naniwa Five-Chapter Series that fans have been anticipating. Conan and company come to watch a play modeled on Heiji Hattori and his friends, and the stage inspires Heiji to finally resolve to confess to Kazuha. The confession plan at Naniwa Harukas is instantly derailed by the outbreak of a murder. Torn between his feelings for Kazuha and his duty as a detective, Heiji works with Conan to unravel the trick at the scene. The culprit is one of the people involved, and Heiji sharply exposes the flaw in the fabricated alibi to corner them. After the case is solved, Heiji finally tries to confess to Kazuha against the sunset, but an interruption arrives at the last moment and the decisive words are postponed once more. Even so, the two grow noticeably closer, and the volume closes leaving high hopes for where the Kansai duo's romance will go.
