Synopsis

The grand saga reaches its final volume. With their friends absorbed and all hope seemingly lost, Goku and Vegeta make a desperate team-up, slipping inside Buu's body to rescue the ones he swallowed. But the purest, most savage "Kid Buu" that emerges blows up the Earth itself. The last hope is the ultimate technique Goku honed over a lifetime: the Spirit Bomb, built from energy shared bit by bit by all of humanity, bringing this long, long story to a triumphant close. As a bonus, the volume also reprints the legendary first chapter, where a mountain boy named Goku meets Bulma.

Goku and Vegeta rescue Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo from inside Buu, but the enraged monster splits himself into pure Kid Buu and detonates the Earth. The survivors barely escape to the World of the Kais. Even Super Saiyan 3 is not enough for Goku, so in the end he gathers energy from all of humanity into a colossal Spirit Bomb that erases Buu. Years later, Buu is reborn as the kindhearted boy Uub, and Goku leaves to train him as a new disciple, closing the story with the words "Bye-bye, Dragon Ball."
