In this final volume, Zatch and Kiyomaro defeat the last enemy with an ultimate spell woven from the feelings of all their friends, and they save the world. Zatch walks the road to the kind king all the way to its end, and in doing so answers the wishes of every Mamodo he once met. But once the war of the Mamodo world is over, Zatch must return home to that world. The farewell scene with Kiyomaro is drawn quietly yet powerfully, as proof that the two have become true best friends. The theme of friendship that carried readers from the very start reaches its peak, and the series closes leaving hope behind.
