Synopsis

With the giant white "dog" Sadaharu added as a new freeloader, the Yorozuya grows even rowdier. This time a request to find a runaway delinquent girl spirals into a dangerous drug-trafficking case involving ruthless space pirates. Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura throw themselves body and soul into trouble that pays almost nothing. Gags and hot-blooded action collide throughout volume 2, which also includes the original one-shot "Shirokuro," offering a taste of Gintama's earliest form.

Chasing a runaway girl, the Yorozuya stumbles into a drug ring run by space pirates. Facing thugs who want to exploit her, Gintoki delivers his usual defiant speech and goes wild with nothing but a wooden sword. Kagura's monstrous Yato strength erupts here too. Knowing the danger, they return the girl to her family and end up with almost no pay. This is the volume where the Yorozuya's creed of choosing principle over profit truly takes shape.
