Synopsis

A cat's curse turns Gintoki into an actual cat! Worse still, Kabuki District is in the middle of a so-called Stray Cat Capture Plan — a shady scheme in disguise — and cat-Gin, along with a feline Katsura and a gorilla-fied Kondo, gets swept right into it. With no way back to human form, the gang stumbles through one hilarious disaster after another. Volume 32 also serves up the deadbeat documentary "Madao Observation Diary" and a peek behind the scenes at TV weathercaster Ketsuno Ana, packing in Gintama's trademark surreal comedy.

As a cat, Gintoki can't communicate and gets mistaken for a stray targeted by the capture plan. Katsura casually lives as a cat, while Kondo, still treated like a gorilla, only makes things worse. Every attempt to turn back human backfires, and the arc lands on a messy note buried in crude gags. The Madao diary pushes Hasegawa's uselessness to new lows, and the Ketsuno Ana chapter reveals a surprising side of her — but as always it's all one-off comedy that dissolves back into daily life. Zero seriousness here.
