Synopsis

As the summer tournament reaches its late rounds, Mitsuru Adachi's classic H2 arrives at Volume 31. Hiro's Senkawa and Hideo's Meiwa Daiichi — childhood friends bound by fate — finally close in on their destined showdown. The heart of this volume runs from the eve of Hiro and Hideo's head-on duel into its opening innings. The ace-versus-ace battle ignites, and from the first frame neither gives an inch in the trade of pitches and hits. Hiro clings to Hideo's fastball while Senkawa's lineup rallies. As the game wears on, Hikari's eyes drift naturally to Hiro, and she begins to grasp her true feelings. Haruka's wistful smile lingers too. The decision carries into the next volume, leaving only its afterglow over the ballpark.
