Synopsis

Volume 29 of the classic boxing saga woven by Ippo Makunouchi's fists. The closer he gets to the top, the mightier his opponents become, forcing Ippo to confront not just his body but the weakness in his heart. Sustained by the bonds of Kamogawa Gym, he falls again and again yet keeps rising. This volume finally sets Takamura's world title match in motion, firing up everyone at the gym. Aoki and Kimura's stubborn bouts and Itagaki's rise add ensemble depth. A volume that touches the core of the series, where the cruelty and beauty of competition coexist.
