Synopsis

Just as Katsuji rejoins Koharu and the others after escaping Miyabi, the tyrant appears in the great square of Yamatai alongside Himiko and the crucified Samejima. Hiding in the crowd, Katsuji can only watch—until the sight of Samejima being tortured drives him to break cover, and Miyabi spots him at once. Slashed by the iron fan and frozen by pain, Katsuji can only wait as Miyabi closes in. The doomed survival of the humans stranded on the island now surges toward its climax at the very heart of Yamatai.

Discovered by Miyabi, Katsuji takes a deep wound from the iron fan and is driven to the brink. His comrades launch a desperate diversion, and he barely slips free. As Akira and the others move to save the crucified Samejima, Himiko unleashes her monstrous power and the square becomes a blood-soaked battlefield once more. Miyabi flaunts his regeneration, mocking the humans. Cornered yet unbroken, Katsuji and Akira keep searching for the one blow that can turn the tide.
