Synopsis

Triggered by Welfin's word "Komugi," the King Meruem at last regains all his memories. At the same time, it becomes clear that the poison of Netero's "Rose"—death by the Poor Man's Rose—is steadily eating away at the bodies of the King, Pouf, and Youpi. The Royal Guard, sensing their own deaths, still strive to serve the King. Meruem chooses to spend his remaining life not on hatred or conquest, but on a game of Gungi with a single blind girl, Komugi. A heartrending climax begins, as one who is not human walks toward his most human of ends.
