Synopsis

Volume 26 of Rumiko Takahashi's feudal-era classic Inuyasha. Kagome, a modern schoolgirl pulled five hundred years into the past by the Shikon Jewel, travels alongside the half-demon Inuyasha to gather the shattered shards. Here Naraku unleashes a fresh incarnation and the fight for the jewel shards sharpens. The old bond between Inuyasha and Kikyo casts its shadow again, leaving Kagome shaken about her place at his side. Sesshomaru cannot stay clear of the feud over Tessaiga, and the brothers' blades cross once more. Naraku's true aim, to complete the jewel and tear out his own heart, is partly revealed. Battered but unbroken, the group tightens its bonds as the story races toward an all-out clash.
