Synopsis

Volume 30, the final book of Rumiko Takahashi's beloved Inuyasha. Kagome, drawn to the feudal age by the Shikon Jewel, and the half-demon Inuyasha bring their long feud with the enemy Naraku to its close, joined by Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Sesshomaru. The scattered shards, everyone's pasts and the feelings they have carried all converge on one last battle. In this final volume the long tale of the Shikon Jewel and Naraku reaches its end. The group throws everything into the assault on Naraku's true body, and the real meaning of the wish within the jewel is revealed. Nearly swallowed by the jewel, Kagome leans on the bond she shares with Inuyasha to choose the right wish, and the Shikon Jewel itself vanishes. After the battle she returns once to the present, only to cross time and reach Inuyasha again, their bond carrying into a new future. The fates of their friends are touched upon, and the series closes on a warm, lingering note.
