Synopsis

Volume 35 tangles Naraku's schemes into an even denser web. The severed infant and its guardian gather Shikon shards on their own, deepening their conflict with Naraku's main body. Inuyasha trains to master Tessaiga's new technique, turning his bond with Kagome into strength as he grows. Kagura, thirsting for freedom, draws close to Sesshomaru to seek an opening against Naraku. Naraku schemes to reabsorb the infant and Moroha, but the infant bares its fangs in return, plotting to control even Naraku's own heart. Kagura secretly tells Sesshomaru the whereabouts of the Shikon shards and Naraku's weakness, putting her betrayal into full motion. Inuyasha draws out a new demonic power dwelling in Tessaiga's blade, foreshadowing a strike that can outpace Naraku's regeneration. Miroku's Wind Tunnel and Sango's past are explored further, and their shared hatred of Naraku tightens their bond. The Shikon Jewel nears completion as the stage for the final battle takes shape.
