Synopsis

The Shikon Jewel is complete, and the final battle against Naraku at last begins. Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and even Sesshomaru face this vast evil, each carrying their own feelings. In this volume, the desperate struggle within another realm—inside Naraku's body and the Shikon Jewel itself—begins in earnest. Inuyasha's group confronts the souls swallowed by the jewel and closes in on the truth that the jewel was built upon a "wish to make conflict last forever." The feelings Kikyo entrusted in her final moments support Kagome, and the moment the two priestesses' souls align into a single resolve strikes the heart. Sesshomaru's power reaches its peak, and the brothers even come to guard each other's backs.
