Synopsis

Faced with the overwhelming might of the island's monstrous rulers, the Tensen, the early group of convicts is nearly wiped out. Fighters once thought unbeatable die shockingly fast, and the survivors learn that the Tensen command a strange force known as Tao. Gabimaru too confronts one of these beings and discovers that the ninja techniques he has always relied on simply do not work. Driven by his promise to return to his wife, he begins searching for a way to overcome an enemy far beyond him.
