The spirit that hits Sakurajima is Naoya Zenin—dead, yet still gripping Projection Sorcery and his need to outrank Maki. From cursed fetus he races through child and adult forms, sharpening the technique until time itself feels stepped. Maki answers with Heavenly Restriction flesh and sense, but Naoya’s pace warps perception; Kamo’s blood techniques arrive a breath too late again and again. Naoya turns clan name and bloodline into curse, sentencing Maki as the failure, until the fight stops being style-versus-style and becomes who erases Zenin’s history. Other players breach the colony and the duel wires into the wider Culling Game layout. Maki kills him again not as heir or avenger, but at the speed of who she is now.
