Synopsis

In the mansion of Kyogai, a demon who rotates entire rooms by beating the drums embedded in his body, Tanjiro meets two new comrades: the cowardly Zenitsu Agatsuma and the wild, boar-headed brawler Inosuke Hashibira. Zenitsu becomes superhuman when he falls asleep, while Inosuke is pure fighting instinct. These three wildly different boys band together to protect the children trapped inside and face the Drum Demon. Once the mission ends, a new order from the Corps sends them toward an ominous mountain. The eccentric trio is born in Volume 4.

Tanjiro reads Kyogai's Blood Demon Art, the rotating rooms, through his sense of smell and severs the demon's head with Water Breathing. Moved by the sorrow of a demon who once dreamed of becoming a novelist, Tanjiro gently holds his dying hand. Zenitsu masters his single technique, Thunderclap and Flash, to its limit, while Inosuke rampages with his wild Beast Breathing. The three become comrades, each carrying their own weakness and strength. The stage shifts to Mount Natagumo, where the presence of a spider demon family that manipulates threads grows ever stronger. The shadow of the Twelve Kizuki closes in.
