Synopsis

After Shinobu Kocho helps them recover from their wounds and master Total Concentration Constant Breathing, Tanjiro and his friends board the Mugen Train on a new mission. Inside the dream Tanjiro is reunited with his dead family and nearly loses himself to that comfort. Realizing he can escape by destroying the dream's spiritual core, he takes the brutal step of killing himself within the dream, again and again, to claw back to reality. His companions confront their own dreams, revealing surprising inner worlds for Zenitsu and Inosuke. Meanwhile the demon Enmu begins fusing with the train itself, taking the passengers hostage and setting up a larger battle.
