Synopsis

In the death struggle with Goto, Shinichi is nearly beaten and pushed to the edge of despair, until toxic industrial waste he happens to grab fuses with Migi's power and opens a path to reversal. The revived Migi asserts his own will through the choice to protect his host and entrusts Shinichi with the finishing blow that destroys Goto. Having fought through it all, Shinichi survives a final confrontation with the killer Uragami and reclaims his human heart. Migi falls into a deep sleep, and the two quietly part. Carrying the weight of life and the meaning of coexistence, Shinichi returns to everyday life.
