Synopsis

Aladdin continues his account of Alma Torran, the world that perished. To save the oppressed other races, Solomon and his comrades wage war at the head of a resistance movement. Sheba, a sorceress they rescue, slowly opens her closed heart as she spends time among them, becoming irreplaceable to the resistance and to Solomon himself. As his forces grow, Solomon steps toward an unavoidable final battle against his own father, David. Volume 23 unveils the origins of the Rukh and magic, drawing ever closer to the foundations of the world.

The bond blossoming between Sheba and Solomon is the warm heart of this volume and, at the same time, a seed that sharpens the tragedy to come. The resistance fights to change a world steeped in discrimination and domination, but their ideal collides head-on with the cold order upheld by David. It becomes clear that David is no mere father but a being who manipulates the very structure of the world, pushing the coming battle beyond a personal quarrel. The cycle of the Rukh and the nature of souls are explained, and the answer to why kingly worth and depravity exist in the present world begins to take shape.
