Synopsis

The god-worshipped Pain is revealed to be six warriors sharing the Rinnegan, and in one of them Jiraiya glimpses the face of his lost pupil, Yahiko. Step by step, the master closes in on the truth behind Akatsuki, and his final counterattack may expose the hidden body that controls the village from the shadows. Meanwhile, Sasuke, who has lived only for revenge against his brother, at last stands face to face with Itachi. The brutal reckoning between two brothers bound by the Uchiha's fate finally begins.

Jiraiya sees through the mechanism by which Pain manipulates multiple corpses and deduces that the real body is hidden somewhere in the village. But just before he can carry the intel home, he is surrounded by the six paths and meets his end. The stage shifts to the clash between Sasuke and Itachi. Itachi torments Sasuke with Tsukuyomi from his Mangekyo Sharingan, while Sasuke counters with Chidori Current and the power of the serpent. The black flames of Amaterasu that Itachi unleashes from his right eye corner Sasuke, pushing both brothers to their absolute limits.
