Synopsis

Consumed by revenge, Sasuke has changed into someone almost unrecognizable. Neither Sakura's feelings nor Kakashi's words can reach his sealed heart. As he lashes out with nothing but hatred to fuel him, the two are driven into a corner until Naruto arrives to save them. Former comrades stand in the same place, yet the gap between them has become absolute, and everyone must accept that Team 7 will never be what it was. The stage then shifts to Kumogakure, where a new trial awaits Naruto.

Unable to stop Sasuke's descent, the old Team 7 breaks apart for good. Naruto accepts Sasuke as an enemy, and the two vow that the next time they meet, one of them will die. The scene shifts, and Naruto is sent to a secret island run by the Hidden Cloud to master the Nine-Tails' power. There he meets Killer Bee, jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails, and begins learning how to face a raging tailed beast. With the shadow of all-out war against the Akatsuki looming, Naruto prepares to confront the immense power buried within himself.
