Synopsis

The peaceful village where the boastful boy Usopp lives is about to be raided by the Black Cat Pirates. Catching wind of the plan early, Luffy and the others lie in wait on the shore to stop the landing — but the pirates never appear, and an ominous noise instead echoes from the beach on the opposite side. The meticulous scheme of the cold-blooded captain Kuro, disguised as a butler, collides with Usopp's resolve to protect his beloved young lady Kaya and the village, opening a fierce battle that pulls the Straw Hats in.

The butler Klahadore is really Captain Kuro, a former pirate who faked his own death to hide. Coveting the inheritance of the frail young lady Kaya, he plotted to have his crew raid the whole village. While Zoro and Nami clash with the eccentric pirates, Luffy struggles against Kuro's blinding "Stealth Step" technique. Even so, he defeats Kuro with his rubber power and protects Kaya and the village. A grateful Kaya gives the crew a newly built ship, the Going Merry, and Usopp — dreaming of piracy — prepares to set sail as a comrade.
