Synopsis

Oshi no Ko Volume 12. Kana Arima is caught by a tabloid coming and going from big-shot director Masanori Shima's office. To bury the scandal, Aqua engineers a trade-off story—but the price is that Ai's childbirth at sixteen and the twins' own identities are dragged into public view. Feeling her brother has betrayed the "lie" Ai fought her whole life to protect as an idol, Ruby hurls fierce rejection at Aqua. In the middle of all this, the film "15-Year Lie" finally moves into full production. A volume of pain and hard decisions.

To protect Kana, Aqua uses Ai's greatest secret—her pregnancy and childbirth—as a bargaining chip, and in doing so exposes Ai's creed that "an idol's job is to lie" to the public gaze. This strikes Ruby's deepest nerve, and the twins' bond chills to its lowest point. The volume lays bare the danger of Aqua's way of living, choosing revenge and calculation over love. At the same time, "15-Year Lie," the film adapting Ai's story, gets moving as a huge engine that will pull those who act in it closer to the truth about Ai. A turning point between ruin and rebirth.
