Synopsis

With the stage arc behind them, Volume 8 pushes the twins Aqua and Ruby forward in their separate paths. Having earned real confidence as an actor, Aqua follows the threads leading to the person who killed his mother, Ai, and steps deeper into the television industry. Armed with his stage experience, Aqua gathers contacts and information to close in on the truth of Ai's death. It's striking how Akane Kurokawa, bound closer to him through the dating reality show, quietly stands by his revenge again as his "detective." Ruby deepens her bond with the B-Komachi members and hardens her resolve to follow in her mother's footsteps. Kana Arima's leap as an actress is shown too, while the feelings around Aqua smolder on in changed form. The culprit's outline slowly draws near, raising the tension for the next arc.
