Synopsis

A vampire's claim that Guren was the one who destroyed the world sends Yuichiro and his friends reeling. To test the truth, they head for Osaka Bay alongside Ferid, only to find a masked figure appearing before the captive vampire queen Krul. In Osaka a vampire political drama unfolds around Krul, and infighting among the Progenitors surfaces over her captivity and possible release. Ferid's goal is revealed to be no simple betrayal but a calculation aimed at ending this rotten world entirely. Yuichiro wavers between suspicion of Guren and trust in him, realizing he cannot bring himself to brand Guren an enemy. The long, tangled history between Krul and Ferid as master and servant is dug into, deepening the vampire side of the story. It is a major step toward the truth of the world.
