Synopsis

Acting on the Shikama Doji's command, Asuramaru sets out to capture Mika's soul. Stepping into Yuichiro's inner world, Asuramaru launches into a fierce battle with Mika. Meanwhile Shinoa, desperately suppressing the Shikama Doji's awakening within her body, senses the ominous order before anyone else. To escape the crisis, Yuichiro and the others race to perform the desperate rite of turning Mika into cursed gear, but nothing is certain. The soul battle between Asuramaru and Mika escalates into a fight over Yuichiro as a vessel, and Mika turns himself into cursed gear to dwell within Yuichiro's blade, uniting the two into a literal shared body in a shocking resolution. Shinoa can no longer restrain the Shikama Doji's awakening, making it clear she holds a key role in the endgame. The factions' schemes surrounding the Shikama Doji — the Seraph of the End — converge, and it is implied that the power sleeping inside Yuichiro is the trigger for the world's end and rebirth. With his bond to Mika now forged into a blade, Yuichiro steps into a phase of confronting Mahiru and the Shikama Doji's scheme head-on.
