Synopsis

Kenshin defeats Enishi with the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki but spares his life. Bound by Tomoe's diary and his own hatred, Enishi collapses and walks away carrying his guilt and loneliness. Kenshin returns to Kaoru, and the two vow to live side by side. The epilogue looks ahead: Yahiko inherits the Kamiya Kasshin style, and Kenshin and Kaoru have a son, Kenji. The reverse-blade sword passes to the next generation, Kenshin's vow never to kill bears fruit, and the story closes in peace.
