Synopsis

Volume 15 of Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's gourmet action series Toriko. The deadly struggle over the Century Soup in the frozen hell finally drives toward its conclusion. Beaten down by the organization's assassin, the gourmet hunters rally around their convictions and their passion for food to launch a counterattack. And at last a ray of light shines on the phantom soup Toriko has chased for so long. The moment chef Komatsu's efforts bear fruit takes center stage, spotlighting the bonds and growth these two share. Even as the battle's echoes linger, the story accelerates toward a chapter of new foes and unknown ingredients.

⚠ Spoiler warning — tap to reveal
Cornered by the organization's assassin, Toriko and the others turn the tide through their comrades' aid and by breaking past their own limits. The Century Soup itself is stolen or nearly lost, yet the chance to remember its taste and recreate it remains. Here Komatsu comes into his own, and his grasp on a way to make the phantom soup again becomes the volume's big highlight. In the aftermath, Toriko keenly feels the threat of the enemy Gourmet Corp. and sets his sights on higher ingredients and harder training. It closes the series' midpoint by stepping into a full-scale war over the world's food.
