To save the dying Komatsu, Toriko and his companions pour every ounce of strength into tearing the treasure ingredient "Pair" from the body of the Monkey King Bambina. Though they seize a hint to obtaining Pair hidden within the king's martial art, "Monk Bout," the Monkey King only grows endlessly more powerful the more he fights, driving Toriko once again into a corner. Against a king beyond all measure, it becomes an all-out battle testing not only power but wisdom and resolve. Meanwhile, an ominous shadow still creeps ever closer to Komatsu, whose time has nearly run out. A fierce volume where the tension reaches its peak.
