Synopsis

A mysterious boy riding an elephant suddenly abducts Lum and flees into a dense jungle teeming with electric plants. Ataru and company suit up in insulated gear and make a desperate charge into this shock-hazard wonderland of living neon. The mysterious boy who kidnapped Lum turns out to be tied to an electric lifeform harboring a one-sided love for her, and the neon wilderness is the wellspring of his power. Ataru hides his lecherous nature, yet when it counts he charges in ready to eat lightning to get Lum back, proving he's impossible to hate after all. After a fierce duel, Lum is safely rescued and the boy's scheme collapses. Even so, Ataru can't manage a single honest thank-you, so Lum's quest to confirm his love stays unresolved once again. In the end the two return to their usual quarrel-laced daily life, and another noisy morning dawns over Tomobiki.
