Synopsis

The staple holds: Ataru charges at pretty girls and eats Lum's lightning. The centerpiece is a large-scale upheaval that engulfs all of Tomobiki, where the powers of ancient gods and spirits run wild and the bond between Ataru and Lum is put to the test. Lum's jealousy erupts, yet when Ataru truly starts to vanish she tearfully saves him, and the two draw just a little closer. Mendou and the childhood-friend crowd hurl their own feelings into the mix, blowing the uproar up further. It crash-lands back into daily life, Ataru learning nothing and hunting the next girl while Lum sighs the punchline.
