Synopsis

Having survived the deadly battle at Goldy Pond, Emma's group begins the search for the "Seven Walls" — the key to remaking the very "Promise" struck with the demons. Guided by scattered legends and ancient texts, they set out for Cuvitidala, a sacred land tied to a god. As the meaning of Sonju and Mujika's words grows clearer and the origins of the bond between humans and demons come into view, Emma comes face to face with a being beyond imagination. Eternal children, face your despair — the mysteries of the world begin to turn in Volume 12 of this jailbreak fantasy.

At Cuvitidala, Emma encounters a colossal humanoid being — "That Person," the demons' god. Risking her life, she enters negotiations while Ray, Don and Gilda hold their nerve in extreme circumstances. That Person offers Emma terms to forge a new Promise, but the price is staggering: she may have to give up her memories, even her bonds with her family. Meanwhile, in demon society, Queen Legravalima and Lord Bayon intensify their hunt for the escaped children, and the schemes of Norman's Lambda unit come to light, steering the story firmly toward its final confrontation.
