Synopsis

A new chapter opens. A languid, mysterious girl slips into the private nights of Kou and Nazuna. "Welcome, boy. Sorry for the rough treatment," she says, and her arrival sends the once-gentle story racing forward. The night world is wider than Kou imagined, home to several vampires bound by dangerous rules. The mysterious girl is Anko Uguisu, a detective who hunts vampires, and she takes Kou hostage to shake Nazuna. She tells Kou the vampire is only using him, dousing his sweet dream of being turned. Other vampires like Midori Kohakobe appear too, revealing that the night world is far from united. When Nazuna moves to protect Kou, their bond can no longer be brushed off as mere play. The volume drives home that the night is not only beautiful but a place where lives are on the line.
