Synopsis

Rin Okumura believed he was an ordinary teenager until he learned the truth: he is the son of Satan, born of demon blood. When his guardian, the exorcist Shiro Fujimoto, dies protecting him from the demon world, Rin embraces the blue flames burning inside him and swears to become an exorcist strong enough to defeat the father who took everything. Rin is Satan's biological son, and drawing the Kurikara sword wraps his whole body in blue flame. Shiro dies shielding Rin after Satan tries to possess his body. Yukio has secretly held his exorcist license for years and now stands at the front of the classroom as Rin's own instructor. Unable to control his flames, Rin joins the cram school and hides his identity from the other students. This volume is the origin of the contradiction that defines him: a demon who hunts demons.
