Synopsis

Yuri, the mother of Rin and Yukio, now carries the child of the demon god Satan. The True Cross Order corners her and coldly prepares an operation to exorcise the newborn the instant it is delivered. To the organization, Satan's spawn is nothing but a threat that cannot be allowed to live. Then the moment finally arrives: born wrapped in blue flame, the infant Rin lets out his first cry and begins to rampage against the exorcists surrounding him. A mother's wish and the logic of the Order collide head-on as the flashback arc plunges into its cruelest stretch.

The True Cross Order moves on the consensus that Satan's child must be killed, condemning Yuri as a traitor. The newborn Rin, unable to control his blue flames, scorches everything around him as exorcists fall one after another in a horrific scene. Even so, Yuri refuses to see her son as a monster and tries to name and embrace him. This unconditional maternal love is depicted as the very reason Rin later keeps his sense of self. The organization's ruthlessness is set against Yuri's resolve, and tension peaks toward the tragic ending and the conclusion of the flashback arc in the next volume.
