Synopsis

Once inside Las Noches, the group is torn apart down separate corridors and forced to fight alone. Standing in the way of Ichigo and Nel is Dordoni, a Privaron Espada — a former member of the top ten who was stripped of his rank. Underestimating the seasoned warrior, Ichigo is caught off guard and driven into a hard, grinding fight. Meanwhile Ishida and Chad each square off against fierce enemies of their own, refusing to give an inch. The simultaneous battles raging across Las Noches finally erupt in full force.

Despite his clownish look, Dordoni is a genuine veteran who forces Ichigo to draw out both his Bankai and his Hollow mask for real. Cornered, Ichigo dons the mask earned in training and overwhelms Dordoni by stacking Tensa Zangetsu with his Vizard power — yet even that is only the beginning of what the Arrancar have to offer. Ishida clashes with Cirucci and Chad faces an enemy that gnaws at the mind, each in their own life-or-death fight. As his friends bleed across every corner of Las Noches, it's eerily hinted that all of it is unfolding in the palm of Aizen's hand. The rescue sinks into an ever-deeper quagmire.
