Synopsis

To rescue the vanished Orihime, Ichigo, Ishida and Chad finally set foot in Hueco Mundo, a vast white desert of endless sand. Smashing through the Arrancar that block their path one after another, the trio press on toward Las Noches, Aizen's fortress looming far on the horizon. But along the way they run into an oddly clueless pair of siblings and a strange little creature (?), and end up dragged into traveling together — kicking off a chaotic desert journey where danger and slapstick collide.

The three meet the tiny former Espada Nel Tu, her big-brother figures Dondochakka and Pesche, and the bug-like Bawabawa. No one yet suspects how much Nel's true identity will come to matter. When fresh Arrancar assassins appear to hunt the group, Ishida drives them off with rapid bow fire and Chad with a single blow of his right arm, showing just how far they've grown. Their training has clearly paid off — they now fight on a completely different level than during the Soul Society arc. The colossal wall of Las Noches looms ahead, and the real rescue battle begins.
