Synopsis

The volume unravels the truth behind the deaths of the wealthy Amanda Hughes and Koji Haneda at a Seattle hotel seventeen years ago. The key is the dying message Haneda scrawled, PUT ONE ASHT, which rearranges into ASACA RUM, pointing to both Asaka and Rum. Asaka, who was present at the scene, turns out to be a crucial figure tied to Shuichi Akai's father Tsutomu, and a lead toward Rum's true identity. The suspicion over whether Hyoe Kuroda is Rum only deepens. For the first time the contours of the Organization's inner circle are drawn clearly, revealing the old grudge that connects directly to the present storyline.
