Synopsis

Volume 10 of Fairy Tail. The Phantom Lord arc reaches its conclusion. Master Jose himself descends onto the battlefield, revealing a hopeless gap in power. A revived Makarov collides with Jose and, on Fairy Tail's pride, beats him into utter defeat. At the same moment, Natsu wins his brutal duel with Gajeel, devouring lightning to power up his flames and crushing the Iron Dragon Slayer. Phantom Lord is destroyed and formally disbanded by the Magic Council. Afterward, Lucy weeps at the truth that her father Jude only ever saw her as a cash cow, but comes to know that Fairy Tail is her real family. Rebuilding of the wrecked guild hall begins, and as everyday life returns, the seeds of the next story are quietly sown.
