Synopsis

The Qin army had been pressing its advantage, but a night raid launched under cover of darkness by Zhao sends their losses spiraling. Standing in the chaos is Zhao's supreme general Hou Ken, radiating superhuman skill and a bottomless killing intent that leaves even the battle-hardened Hi Shin Unit helpless. To let their comrades and the unit escape safely, the silent swordsman Kyou Kai and Shin throw themselves at an opponent they can barely hope to beat. The centerpiece here is the direct clash between Hou Ken and the Hi Shin Unit. With the line collapsed after the night raid, Hou Ken cuts down soldier after soldier with overwhelming force. Shin and Kyou Kai cling on desperately to buy their comrades time, but even the two of them together can barely scratch him, driving home that his strength exists on another plane. For the first time Shin truly feels the height where genuine great generals like Ou Ki and Hou Ken stand. This near-defeat, surviving by the thinnest margin, paradoxically pushes Shin toward the next stage, closing right before Ou Ki and Hou Ken's destined collision.
