Synopsis

The night raid marks another sharp turn in the tide at Bayou. General Bu Bu presses forward chasing the retreating Hou Ken, only to find a cunning Zhao trap laid out ahead. As the battlefield shifts moment by moment under the schemes of both armies, the awaited hour finally arrives: the two supreme commanders, Ou Ki and Hou Ken, each carrying a grudge nine years old, meet at the center of the field as they carve through countless soldiers. The heart of this volume is the confrontation between the two supreme commanders, Ou Ki and Hou Ken. Just as Bu Bu seems to have cornered Hou Ken, it is revealed that even this was a Zhao trap, and Ou Ki shows the terrifying poise of a general who sees the whole battle from above. At last Ou Ki faces head-on the man who carved a deep wound in his heart nine years ago. This standoff of two champions, staking their grudge and pride, signals the start of a summit clash that will decide the fate of every soldier at Bayou. Shin too burns the overwhelming sight into his eyes, tasting the weight of what it means to be a great general, as the story hurtles toward its greatest tragedy and collision.
