Synopsis

The stage shifts from the battlefield to the power struggle inside the Qin court. As the faction of King Ei Sei and that of Chancellor Ryo Fui clash beneath the surface, a mysterious third force, the state of Ai, tied to the Queen Mother, suddenly rises. With the new year, the coronation that will let the king begin his true reign draws near, and tension in the capital Kanyou reaches its peak. Ai is revealed to be a rebellion in disguise, a power base Rou Ai has quietly built in Kanyou under the Queen Mother's banner. Seizing the moment when the king leaves the capital for his coronation, Rou Ai steals the royal seal and launches a massive revolt in Kanyou. Ryo Fui distances himself as if tacitly allowing it, and Ei Sei is thrown into a desperate crisis. Court conspiracy finally erupts into open warfare, and Kanyou is engulfed in flames, opening the great upheaval that will send the Fei Xin unit to retake the capital.
