Synopsis

In the very midst of the coronation, the Ai rebel army led by Rou Ai bares its fangs on Kanyou. With the royal seal stolen and the capital overrun by rebels, Ei Sei's fate hangs by a thread. The rebels nearly seize Kanyou with overwhelming numbers, but Shin's outnumbered Fei Xin unit fights fiercely in the streets and holds the king's position. Then Shou Hei Kun and even Ryo Fui, whose moves no one could read, act on the king's side to help crush the revolt. Rou Ai's army is gradually pushed back, and the scales tip toward Ei Sei. The Queen Mother's heart wavers, and Rou Ai's ambition heads for ruin. The volume runs right up to the eve of the showdown where Ei Sei and Ryo Fui will finally clash over the realm itself.
