Synopsis

Destroy or be destroyed. With every line of retreat cut, Qin and Zhao lurch toward an all-out collision. It becomes clear that Ou Sen sacrificed Retsubi and seized the small towns to lure Zhao's army onto the Shukai Plain and set the stage for a massive field battle on his own terms. Li Mu shores up Kantan's defense and, knowing he is being drawn in, resolves to accept the challenge head-on. Both armies converge on the Shukai Plain, and the deployment for a decisive battle over China's fate is complete. Qin's core of Shin, Mou Ten and Ou Sen faces Zhao's famed generals under Li Mu. The main clash of tens of thousands of soldiers is finally set alight in this volume's closing chapters.
