Synopsis

Shinichi is growing used to sharing his body with Migi, but the war among the parasites is quietly heating up. Individuals like Ryoko Tamiya blend into human society while searching for their own reason to exist, and some begin to gather into groups. Shinichi looks and speaks exactly as he always has, yet his childhood friend Satomi Murano senses that he has somehow become a different person. As the line between predator and prey blurs, Shinichi and Migi face a string of new enemies and confront the changes taking root in Shinichi's own heart.

Several parasites hunt Shinichi and Migi, and only their tight teamwork lets them survive. Ryoko Tamiya makes contact with other individuals and starts planning her own strategy for outlasting humans. Satomi half-senses the change in Shinichi but chooses to trust him and draws closer. With every fight Migi's calculating mind grows sharper, while Shinichi shoulders the contradiction of killing in order to protect. His resolve to remain human, no matter what, truly takes root in this volume.
